The residence is conveniently close to Charles Bridge – just off the main street that leads to it (just a few minutes’ walk) – and Lesser Town Square. Lesser Town Square has various restaurants, cafes, the Baroque St. Nicolas Church, and tram lines. The Church of Our Lady Beneath the Chain, one of the city’s oldest churches with original structural pieces dating back to 1158 (interestingly the church and the palace once belonged to the Knights of Malta... look for the sign – the Maltese Cross – on the buildings), neighbors the palace. The Lennon Wall, Kampa Island and the Church of Our Lady Victorious are nearby the residence as are two great restaurants, Cukr Kava Limonada and Cafe de Paris. Old Town is a quick walk across the world famous Charles Bridge, making the area most convenient for sightseeing.
